Amanda Hoang IS ON A MISSION TO LEAD, SERVE, & LEAVE BEHIND A LONG LASTING LEGACY
Pageantry entered Amanda's life during a season of reinvention, but it quickly became much more than a competition. As Miss Bellevue USA 2023, she made more than forty community appearances in just four months, built relationships with local businesses and organizations across Washington, and helped secure partnerships that supported her journey to the Miss Washington USA stage. She also competed during a historic year for the Miss USA Organization, joining the first class of women welcomed after the age restrictions were lifted—an experience that reflected her own belief that growth should never be limited by expectations. While the crown represented an incredible honor, it was ultimately the people she met, the communities she served, and the woman she became that defined the experience.
For much of Amanda's life, confidence was something she believed had to be earned—through hard work, responsibility, service, and proving her value to others. Pageantry quietly challenged that belief. It became a place where she discovered that taking up space wasn't an act of pride, but one of self-respect.
Through community outreach, public speaking, and conversations with people from every walk of life, Amanda learned that leadership begins long before a title. It begins with authenticity, with listening well, and showing up consistently for others. The platform gave her opportunities to encourage women and young girls to embrace the very qualities that make them different, reminding them, as she was learning herself, that our stories become our greatest strength when we stop apologizing for them.
Today, Amanda sees her pageant journey not as the pursuit of a crown, but as the beginning of a life built with greater intention. It opened doors to modeling, acting, public speaking, and new opportunities, but more importantly, it changed the way she saw herself. The woman who stepped onto the Miss Washington USA stage was no longer defined by survival or the need to prove herself. She was learning to trust her voice, embrace her purpose, and stand confidently in her own presence.
MORE THAN A CROWN
"Pageantry taught me something that touched a very deep part of me: I am allowed to occupy space."
